Skills used: Marketing, Data Analytics, Website Management, Design
As Belrose's first official full-time marketing hire, I hit the ground running. I created and managed the company's new YouTube channel, reviewed and scheduled social media content, managed email newsletter content and automations, and focused on maintaining a strong brand identity across marketing channels by handcrafting all marketing collateral and editing all videos that we posted online. Social media graphics used the company logo's color palette, email copy was rewritten to better resonate with potential investors, and I even led the redesign and content migration of three websites: Belrose Storage Group, its parent company Belrose Asset Management, and its sister brand, USM Resolution.
I complied behavioral and engagement data across all channels to present to stakeholders at our weekly All Hands meeting, so we could all keep track of which tactics were working and how to adjust our content to better reach our capital raising goals. I also managed all of our websites' DNS and MX records and subscribed to an email delivery monitoring platform to diagnose and address email deliverability issues.
During my time at Belrose, I also took on the role of Customer Acquisition Manager for our portfolio of self-storage facilities, branded as NextStor Storage. I shared social media performance data with stakeholders every week, communicated with external vendors to inform our marketing strategy, and researched ways to increase our portfolio sites' SEO and paid search presence.

I ran all external investor communications for our private funds group, across four investment categories and four global markets to a subscriber list of around 4,000 investors. I gathered creative email assets from our branding team, send lists from our investor and client relations teams, edited HTML code for our email templates, and input all assets and campaign parameters into Salesforce Pardot. I ensured campaigns were properly segmented and post-send data was properly cleaned and presented to internal stakeholders.
We sent through Pardot for all quarterly earnings updates, webcasts, sales and acquisitions, but I also gathered creative assets and built campaigns in Cvent for all event and conference invitations and post-event surveys. SinceI sat under the events team and my role intersected heavily with our tech, investor relations and client relations teams, I also got to work with a lot of people and encouraged all of those teams to work closely with each other to achieve the Firm’s email marketing goals.

Industry: Nonprofit, historical preservation, historical education
Skills used: Marketing, Copywriting, Relationship Building, Design
I have been working at this nonprofit since September 2020, and was recommended by a former college classmate. HPHT is focused on historical preservation for buildings and monuments that were pivotal during LA’s Chicano movement in the 1960s-70s.
I write and send press releases to local media and government contacts, write email and social media copy, design social media graphics, manage the content calendar, assist in layout design for our quarterly print newsletter The Cornerstone, and maintain and update content and SEO on our website via WordPress.

As a customer success manager, I helped eight enterprise-level clients reach their full marketing potential by pitching, building and monitoring email, website and SMS campaigns/ The goal was for businesses to capture more customer data and build their send lists by marketing to the right user at the right time. I would monitor campaign performance and analytics dashboards daily to ensure campaigns were running smoothly, and would work quickly to resolve any issues ASAP.
These campaigns required lots of back-end custom segmentation and behavioral triggers, as well as creatives that were on-brand in their design and messaging. I oversaw the campaign build process for all eight clients, working closely with our design and engineering teams to ensure optimal performance.
Clients included Clarins, BattlBox, Kühl, and Thuma.

Within my first month of joining this nonprofit, I gained boardmember approval to create a domain-associated email address (hello@ummisday.org), which resulted in a 40% lower email bounce rate vs. their original Yahoo email address.
I also wrote social media and email copy for the purpose of marketing local events, including the virtually-held Noisemaker ceremony in April 2021 which saw nearly 80 community members in attendance.

Industry: Web Development, Copywriting, Social Media Marketing, Paid Search Marketing
Skills Used: Marketing, Data Analytics
With a book of 70 clients at any given time, I created paid search and display campaigns from the ground up, including keyword lists, starting bids, ad copy and extensions, and then monitored each client’s campaign for optimal performance. I installed tags with Google Tag Manager to measure ad conversions. I also generated monthly and quarterly reports to share with stakeholders during client meetings, which helped evaluate and inform our future strategy.

Once I joined Hibu (a digital offshoot of Yellowbook) as a digital marketing project manager, I quickly gained status around the department through my tenacity, hard work and ability to understand and pitch improvements on our onboarding process. I onboarded clients post-sale, ensured their sites were written and designed to match their brands, led them through the site proofing and approval process, and then shared analytics with them on a quarterly basis to suggest improvements to their site and advertising.
I taught myself Photoshop and learned advanced skills in our website editing platform, so I was often called upon to fix client logos and edit site layout and colors. I wwas the top performer on my team my first year there (2015-2016) and in 2018 I was promoted to Team Lead. As Team Lead I mentored a group of six project managers, led cross-sell efforts, worked with them to improve their customer success skills, and served as second-level support for anxious or heated client situations. I led my team to secure the highest retention rate across the eight teams and two offices in our department.

I started out here as a temp copywriter and on-page SEO specialist, and would assist in proofreading my fellow writers’ copy too. When I was hired full-time, I took on an account manager role on top of my copywriting duties. I’d process changes to clients’ websites via phone and email requests while recommending SEO and web design best practices. I was chosen along with 2 other team members to draft an official, standardized version of our department’s mission statement and process documentation, to be distributed to all future hires.
